Today volunteers of the Republican Volunteer Center helped in the library I. Manger. The Jewish Library named after I. Manger was opened on February 4, 1991. About 8,000 people use the library’s services annually; number of visits is more than 135,000 per year. The library’s funds comprise more than 50,000 items in all branches of knowledge in Yiddish, Hebrew, Romanian, Russian, English and other languages. As a part of the new project “Bookcase”, volunteers will help to maintain the state of books in the library. During the day, volunteers have helped in cleaning and sorting out the books. In the end of the action our volunteers could not leave without taking some books in their free time.
